JoAnn Thomas, M.Ed.
Project Coordinator

JoAnn Thomas is the project coordinator for Partners for Quality Child Care.

Thomas holds the Master of Education degree in Home Economics Education from Mississippi University for Women.  She taught high school for five years.  In 1993, she served as assistant director for the First United Methodist Church Children’s Weekday Ministries Program in Starkville.  More recently, she was director of the Creative Learning Center at Starkville First Baptist Church for eight years.

She is married to John Thomas and they have two children, Mark (21) and Catherine (16).  Her ambition is to help provide the best early care and education possible for the children of Mississippi by teaching, encouraging and supporting the child care staffs of many centers in the state.
