More Units in ECI’s Early Learning Curriculum Are Downloadable Now

AUG. 10, 2007 | Two new monthly units in a custom curriculum for Mississippi early childhood teachers are available from the Mississippi State University Early Childhood Institute.

Teachers can download thematic units for September (“The Five Senses”) and October (“My Community”) here. ECI will publish additional units online in the coming months.

The Mississippi State University Early Childhood Institute (ECI) is the publisher of Using the Mississippi Early Learning Guidelines: A Complete Curriculum for Three-year-olds by Lynn Darling, Ph.D. The curriculum is rich in literacy-based, hands-on activities for young children that will help teachers follow the official Mississippi Early Learning Guidelines.

ECI is conducting three-day workshops on using the curriculum for teachers in the Mississippi Delta this month. The Mississippi Department of Human Services awarded a $63,300 contract, from federal Social Services Block Grant funds, to ECI to provide the training to teachers of three-year-olds.
