Partners for Quality Child Care
http://www.educ.msstate.edu/cni/eci/partners

Partners for Quality Child Care provides training and technical assistance to child care centers that accept vouchers, also known as certificates, from the Mississippi Child Care Assistance Program. The goal of the project is to foster better quality in the participating centers. The Mississippi Department of Human Services, Office for Children and Youth, has funded Partners for Quality Child Care since 1999.  The W. K. Kellogg Foundation also has provided funding for Partners.

Once a center enrolls in Partners, the Mississippi State University Early Childhood Institute (ECI) evaluates the program using the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale-Revised, the Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale-Revised, and/or the Caregiver Interaction Scale. Next, technical assistants from ECI develop a quality improvement plan based on any identified weaknesses. The Each center is reassessed at the end of the project year to measure the impact of the technical assistance.
