Gilmore Early Learning Initiative

The Mississippi State University Early Childhood Institute provides technical assistance and consultative services to the Gilmore Early Learning Initiative, a project of the Gilmore Foundation in Monroe County, Mississippi.  The mission of the initiative is to provide resources and materials to facilitate early learning opportunities in Monroe County. Geli's mission is to give children opportunities to grow and develop the skills necessary to succeed in life. 

Five technical assistants with the Early Childhood Institute work with participating centers to improve teacher skills and classroom environment. A field supervisor monitors and supports the develop of the initiative.
